​​​NCAT Senior and General Members (Guardianship Division)​

​​​​The Attorney General is calling for applications from qualified persons for appointment as part-time Senior Members (Legal and Professional) and General Members (Community) to be assigned to the Guardianship Division of the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT).

​​The necessary prerequisites for appointment are:

  • ​​​Senior members (legal) – must be an Australian lawyer of at least se​ven (7) years' standing;
  • Senior members (professional) – must be persons with special knowledge, skill or expertise in relation to one or more classes of matters i​​n respect of which the Tribunal has jurisdiction; and
  • General members (community) – must be persons with special knowledge, skill or expertise in relation to one or more classes of matters in respect of which the Tribunal has jurisdiction, or persons who are ​​capable of representing the public (or a sector of the public), or a particular organisation, body or group of persons (or class of organisations, bodies or groups of persons), in relation to any​​ one or more classes of matters in respect of which the Tribunal has jurisdiction.
