​Current vacancies for Tribunal Member positions

Announcement - 20 March 2015

The Attorney General is calling for applications from qualified persons for the following appointments to the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT):

  • Part-time Senior Members (Legal and Professional) and part-time General Members (Community) for the Guardianship Division
  • Part-time Senior Members (Legal) for the Consumer and Commercial Division

The necessary prerequisites for appointment are:

  • Senior member (legal) – must be an Australian lawyer of at least seven (7) years' standing
  • Senior member (professional) – must be a person with special knowledge, skill or expertise in relation to one or more classes of matters in respect of which the Tribunal has jurisdiction; and
  • General member (community) – must be a person with special knowledge, skill or expertise in relation to one or more classes of matters in respect of which the Tribunal has jurisdiction, or a person who is capable of representing the public (or a sector of the public), or a particular organisation, body or group of persons (or class of organisations, bodies or groups of persons), in relation to any one or more classes of matters in respect of which the Tribunal has jurisdiction.
